Junior High School Honor Society members must be in 7th or 8th grade as reflected by their eligible test scores.
High School Honor Society members must be in 9-12th grade as reflected by their eligible test scores.
Test Scores:
Members must submit at least one of the following scores to a club sponsor
At least 90% score on the composite battery on the IOWA or Stanford Test
At least 1800 on the SAT
At least 180 on the PSAT
At least 26 combined ACT score
Members to not have to submit scores every year, but if a member is in the club during middle school he/she will be required to submit high school scores in order to stay in the club.
Members must attend at least 75% of quarterly meetings. 2 (50%) of these must be attended in person
Members are required to do 10 hours of service
There will be two club sponsored projects/year to help achieve this
Members must get a proof of service (signature from supervisor) for service done outside of these projects
Only 8 hours/day of service count on mission trips
Members must pay $5/year in dues
If the total amount paid in dues by all of the members does not equal or exceed $25, the dues may increase at the discretion of the members.
Officers
Officer positions are open to all members
Once elected, an officer stays in office until new officers are elected at the beginning of the next school year
A member may only spend two years in the same position
If no one is running for a position currently held by a member who has reached their term limit, they may hold the position again
A member may hold only one position at a time unless there are empty positions, in which case a member may occupy multiple offices
Offices:
President
He/she is the chief executive officer of the club who presides at all meetings. The president issues the call for regular meetings and special meetings
Appoints the standing and special committees of the club while cooperating with chairpersons to ensure regular functioning and reporting of such committees.
He/she sees that officers are elected as provided for by the constitution and by-laws.
He/she works directly with the adult sponsor(s) of the chapter in running the club
Vice President
If the president is unable to perform the duties of his/her office for any reason, the vice president next in rank shall occupy his/her position and perform his/her duties with the same authority as the president.
Oversee the functioning of such committees of the club as the president designates.

Takes minutes
Sends out minutes to all members
Contacts senators, congressman, mayors, or other officials to secure a dignitary for annual inductions.
Treasurer
Issues dues notices
Collects all dues and submits them to adult sponsor
Submits annual report of finances, plus additional reports as requested
Web master: Maintains web site
Publicity Officer: Contacts media outlets with news releases
Hospitality Officer: Finds a meeting place for each meeting and arranges refreshments
